Our cardio-respiratory referral service is led by European and RCVS specialist, Dr Luca Ferasin, and supported by Oliver Garrod CertVC MRCVS and Sarah Knowlson RVN

Meet the Cardiology team

We welcome all cardiology and respiratory cases from straight forward heart mumur examinations to complex congenital abnormalities. 

Cardiology services

• Specialist consultancy in cardiology – full assessment of all acquired and congenital heart conditions
• Standard and advanced echocardiography (contrast, spectral and colour Doppler studies)
• High-definition oscillometry (HDO) blood pressure analysis
• Electrocardiography (ECG) – 12-lead standard recording and telemetric monitoring
• 24h Holter ECG
• Clinical investigation of syncope, falling ("collapse"), weakness and exercise intolerance
• Digital radiology and fluoroscopy
• Interventional cardiology including pacemaker implant, balloon valvuloplasty (BVP), PDA occlusion (ACDO), diagnostic angiography, implantable loop recorders (Reveal)
• Heart screening (Cardiac Auscultation, Doppler echocardiographic examination, and certification for pedigree dog and cat schemes)

Respiratory services

• Digital radiography
• Dynamic airway fluoroscopic studies
• Bronchoscopy, broncho alvelolar lavage (BAL), foreign body removal
• Rhinoscopy and nasal biopsies
• 16-slice CT scan
• Thoracic surgery
