The cardiology team
The cardiology referral unit is led by RCVS recognised specialist Dr Luca Ferasin, and supported by a highly experienced team, Oliver Garrod CertVC MRCVS and Sarah Knowlson RVN
Ferasin
Veterinary Cardiac Specialist
Luca is our visiting RCVS and European specialist in veterinary cardiology.
He runs referral clinics at Highcroft Referrals supported by Oliver Garrod MRCVS and Sarah Knowlson RVN.
Garrod
Referral Vet, Cardiology
Oliver qualified from Bristol Veterinary School in 2002 and joined Highcroft in 2004.
Oliver has a Certificate in Veterinary Cardiology and has been runs regular cardiology clinics at our Whitchurch Hospital and Surgery for both in-house and external referrals.
Oliver works closely with Luca Ferasin and the rest of the cardiology team.
Knowlson
Referral Nurse, Cardiology
Sarah joined Highcroft in 2008 and is based at our Whitchurch hospital and surgery.
Sarah is our referral nurse and has a special interest in cardiology. She works closely with cardiology vets, Oliver Garrod and Luca Ferasin (RCVS visiting specialist).
