The diagnostic imaging team

The diagnostic imaging referral unit is led by Margaret Costello MRCVS and supported by small animal surgeon Juliet Pope MRCVS

After a period of time in mixed and small animal practice, Margaret did a residency in imaging at the University of Bristol, Langford, gaining her RCVS and European Diplomas in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging and her RCVS specialist status in 2002.

Since 1999, Margaret has run ultrasound referral clinics at Highcroft as part of her visiting ultrasound service to vets in the South West of England. She now leads the diagnostic imaging referral service at Highcroft Vet Referrals.

Margaret has lectured extensively on imaging and is a co-author of the BSAVA manual of abdominal imaging. Her particular areas of interest are abdominal and thoracic ultrasound and CT.

Referral Vet, Soft Tissue Surgery

Juliet qualified from Bristol Veterinary School in 1993 and joined Highcroft in 1996.

Juliet holds a Certificate in Small Animal Surgery and is currently studying two days per week for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeon's Diploma in Soft Tissue Surgery.

Juliet has a particular interest in surgical and medical oncology (cancer) and laparoscopy (key hole surgery). She is a co-author for the BSAVA Manual of Canine and Feline Wound Management Reconstruction, Second Edition.
