If you think that your pet may need to see one of our specialist or referral vets, please contact your own veterinary surgeon for a first opinion. Highcroft veterinary referrals can only take cases referred by a veterinary surgeon.
If you have already seen your vet and would like a second opinion, please call our referrals manager, Chris Gudge RVN, on 01275 838473
If your pet has been referred to us by your veterinary surgeon, don’t worry, you are in good hands. Our referral vets are highly qualified and experienced in their special fields, and they are supported by highly-trained veterinary teams, carers and support staff, all of whom have your pet’s best interests at heart.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your appointment time so that we can check that all paperwork is correct before your pet is seen by the referral vet. If you get held up in traffic, contact us as soon as you can and we will advise you on what to do.
Your vet will have already contacted us and provided the necessary clinical information about your pet. However, we may need to ask you questions about your pet’s health and behaviour and therefore ask that the principal carer brings your pet for the appointment.
We may also need you to make financial considerations relating to your pet’s treatment.
